You are notified that a petition has been filed in the office of the clerk of this Court naming you as a defendant in this action, which prays for foreclosure of certain mortgages in favor of the Plaintiff on the property described herein and judgment in rem (and other relief) in the principal amount of $55,721.61, plus interest at the rate of 6.250% per annum, as of February 17, 2017, such amount equaling interet of $9.63 per day, and the cots/advancements of the action and reasonable atttoneys’ fees, and that said sums be declared a lien upon the following described properyt located in Clinton County, Iowa (commonly known as 712 13th Avenue S., Clinton, Iowa 52732), to wit: the West fifty (50) feet of lot fifteen (15), in block two (2), in the First Subdivision of Out Lot Two (2), Iowa Land Company’s West Addition to the City of Clinton, Iowa, and that the mortgages on the above-descrdibed property be foreclosed and that a special execution issue fo rthe sale3 of the above-desdribed property as necessary to satisfy the judgment an for other relief as the court deesm just and appropriate. PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORM WATER

DISCHARGE


MARK CROSS plans to submit a Notice of Intent to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to be covered under NPDES General Permit No. 2 “Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity for Construction Activities.” The storm water discharge will be from construction of a residential subdivision located in NE 1/4, Section 32, NW 1/4, Section 33, T81N, R6E in the

City of Clinton in Clinton County, Iowa. Storm water will be discharged from one point source and will be discharged to the following stream: Mississippi River.
Comments may be submitted to the Storm Water Discharge Coordinator, IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, Environmental Protection Division, 900 E. Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50319-0034. The public may review the Notice of Intent from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the above address after it has been received by the department.

SPECIAL MEETING

BOARD OF EDUCATION

APRIL 5, 2017



A special meeting of the Board of Directors of the Camanche Community School District was held on April 5, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Administrative Center. The attendance was recorded as follows: Directors Larry McDonald, Tia Nauman, Steve Campie, Jean Morgan, Peg Wolf, Brad Weber, and Mike Dunn.



Also in attendance were Superintendent Thomas Parker, Business Director-Board Secretary/ Treasurer Roxanne Aude, John Rohlf from the Clinton Herald, Community Members Linda Decker and Taryn Determan.



The agenda was approved as presented.



President Dunn called the public hearing for the 2017-2018 budget that was published March 23, 2017, to order at 6:30 p.m. He asked if there were any written or oral comments or objections to the budget. Having none, the public hearing was closed at 6:31 p.m.



Director Wolf moved to adopt the 2017-2018 budget as presented, seconded by Director Campie. The adoption would set the tax levy rate at $15.53751 per $1000 valuation resulting in a $.68 increase. The budget was based on 1.11% increase in State Supplemental Aid. Motion carried unanimously.



Director McDonald moved to approve the action to authorize publication of notice of a public hearing on April 17, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. regarding execution and delivery of Quit Claim Deed to the City of Camanche for the purpose of correcting title defect, regarding the old City Hall, seconded by Director Nauman. Motion carried unanimously.



Director Campie moved to approve the proposed staffing plan for the 2017-2018 school year, seconded by Director McDonald. Motion carried unanimously.



The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
