NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CLINTON COUNTY, IOWA, BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT FOR A VARIANCE AND SPECIAL EXCEPTION APPLICATION



The Clinton County Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing in the large conference room at Clinton County Satellite Offices, 226 11th St. DeWitt, Iowa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Said hearing is to consider the following applications:
1. Special Exception Permit application 4078 of Cynthia Weirup requesting approval to construct a Guest Home as required by Section 3.6.1.D.22 and as permitted by Section 9.3.4 of the Clinton County Zoning Ordinance. The proposed use is located at 2192 190th St. in the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 13, Township 82 North, Range 2 East of the 5th P.M. in Clinton County, Iowa.
2. Variance Application 4081 of Gary Olson requesting to construct a Cold Storage Machine Shed which will encroach into the Front yard setback required by section 3.6.1.E of the Clinton County Zoning Ordinance. This property located at 3981 160th St. in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 1, Township 82 North, Range 5 East of the 5th P.M. in Clinton County, Iowa.

Under certain conditions, the Board of Adjustment has the authority to grant Variance and Special Exception Permits for the above uses in these Zoning Districts. At the time of the hearing you may appear, in person or by agent, either in support of or opposition to any items listed above. You may submit written comments before the start of the hearing to the Clinton County Planning and Zoning Office, 226 11th St, DeWitt, IA 52742. All interested parties will be heard.
