REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS, NOTICE OF INTENT TO ACCEPT BID AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
SALE OF PROPERTY
The City of Clinton is accepting bids on the following property:
Parcel 80-0315-0000
121 North 4th Street
The parcel is located in the Downtown River Lyons Urban Renewal area. The property is a non-buildable lot.
A bid was submitted by Mike Jurgersen d/b/a Jurgersen Hauling LLC for $2,000.00 to purchase the property. Jurgersen Hauling LLC owned the property at 133 North 4th Street and 117 North 4th Street with the intent of leaving the area as a green space. Any interested person wishing to submit a bid for an amount equal to or greater than the bid submitted by Jurgersen Hauling LLC must submit a bid as outlined below.
To bid on the property, bids must be submitted electronically through the ION Wave Portal (https://cityofclintoniowa.ionwave .net/) no later than 2:00 P.M. on July 1, 2026.
No fax, paper or emailed bids will be accepted.
The City of Clinton, has the ability to accept or deny any or all bids.
Bids are subject to City Council approval. State law requires that a public hearing be held on the sale of the property as well, which is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 5PM in City Council Chambers, City Hall, 611 S. 3rd Street.
It is the Council's intent to accept the bid submitted by Jurgersen Hauling LLC of $2,000.00 and other good and valuable consideration, if no qualifying competing bid is received.
