2.aMotion to go into Closed Session - under Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(i) to evaluate the professional competency of specific City Administrator candidates with Department Heads.
Seeley made a motion that the Council go into closed session pursuant to Iowa Code 21.5(1)(i) to evaluate the professional competency of specific City Administrator candidates with Department Heads. Determan seconded the motion.
Candidates have signed statements that granted permission to enter closed session that met all necessary criteria.
RESULT:Carried 7-0

Council went into closed session 11:11 A.M.
Council came out of closed session 12:01 P.M.
2.cMotion to go into Closed Session - under Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(i) for the purpose of final selection and discussion of contract parameters.
Lee made a motion that the Council go into closed session pursuant to Iowa Code 21.5(1)(i) for the purpose of final selection and discussion of contract parameters. Obren seconded the motion.
Candidates have signed statements granting permission to enter closed session that met all necessary criteria.
RESULT:Carried 7-0

2.ePossible Motion - Council may make a motion following closed session to extend an employment offer to one of the candidates.

Turpen moved to adjourn to 5:00 P.M. June 23, 2026. No second or roll call taken.
